Recently, the finals of the 11th "Maker China" AI SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded in Hangzhou. Hangzhou NEUREAL Technology Co., Ltd. stood out among 326 national entries with its project "Building an Emotion-Cognition Dual-Core Closed-Loop Platform Based on Immersive BCI," winning the third prize in the startup category.

Competing Against 326 Projects, NEUREAL Advances to the National Finals

This competition attracted 326 projects from 24 provincial-level regions across China, including eight national-level Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative (SRDI) "Little Giant" enterprises and 23 provincial-level SRDI SMEs. After 12 preliminary rounds, two semi-finals, and multiple expert reviews, 24 projects in fields such as Brain-Computer Interface (BCI), large AI models, quantum security, embodied intelligence, and high-end medical devices advanced to the finals.

During the final pitch and Q&A session, NEUREAL Technology systematically presented its technical roadmap, application scenarios, and relevant data, ultimately securing the third prize in the startup category.

This award reflects NEUREAL Technology's continuous exploration in integrating non-invasive brain-computer interface with artificial intelligence applications.

Focusing on "Emotion and Cognition Decoding," Exploring Integrated BCI Applications

"Building an Emotion-Cognition Dual-Core Closed-Loop Platform Based on Immersive BCI" is a technical research and application initiative by NEUREAL Technology focused on "emotion and cognition decoding."

The project integrates technologies such as AI, BCI, and Virtual Reality (VR), targeting brain function-related areas like depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and cognitive decline to explore digital closed-loop intervention pathways. The platform uses VR task scenarios to induce target tasks and acquires task-state signals via multimodal information collection; it then employs AI models to analyze data, assisting in state assessment and intervention parameter adjustment.

In the intervention phase, the platform combines VR and transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) for behavioral intervention and neuromodulation, dynamically adjusting parameters based on state changes during use to form a "perception–analysis–intervention–feedback" closed-loop mechanism.

By integrating BCI, AI, and immersive interaction technologies, the project further explores the connection between brain signal acquisition, state analysis, and digital intervention, providing new directions for technological exploration in digital applications for brain function-related fields.

Promoting Innovation Through Competition, Continuing Technical R&D and Application Exploration

For technology-oriented SMEs, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions serve not only as platforms to showcase technical achievements but also as vital windows for observing industry trends, exchanging innovative ideas, and connecting with industrial resources.

Winning the third prize in the startup category at the finals of the 11th "Maker China" AI SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition marks a milestone achievement for NEUREAL Technology in integrating AI with non-invasive BCI applications.

In the future, NEUREAL Technology will continue R&D and application exploration in non-invasive BCI and AI, advancing the research and translation of these technologies in healthcare and brain function-related scenarios, accumulating more practical experience for the integrated development of AI and healthcare.
